Dr. Turab is the founding director at the PHC Global. He leads the design and planning function at the PHC Global. Dr. Turab has been for more than a decade in leadership role in development, testing, and advocacy for scale up of essential interventions for Newborn, Child Health including immunizations and Nutrition. He specializes in the conduct of population-based epidemiological studies, including trials and large country-level surveys in developing countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal,
Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kenya, Afghanistan, and Eritrea. More recently, he has advised the Federal and Provincial EPI on the rollout of the national level campaigns for new antigens such as TCV and MR. He is also engaged in the work supporting the introduction of Multi Micronutrients for pregnant females in replacement of Iron Folic Acid and the development of the Multi-Sector Nutrition Strategy of Punjab. Several publications in the high impact journal are a testament to the high-level work he has contributed to in the past decade. He is a member of the National RMNCAH technical working group and several other advisory bodies.
